Anne Towns, 26, from had come to a crossroads in her life after a string of misfortune left her feeling desperate. After leaving her fiancée, Anne found herself sleeping on a friend’s floor and unemployed. She began comfort eating and drinking heavily. Anne soon realised she needed to change her world.
Being aware of BFL and the EAS in her native New Zealand and having used the EAS products in the past, led her to a natural decision to try them again, this time committing to the 12-week programme with a desire for a positive direction in her life.
Although Anne was no stranger to workouts and enjoyed exercises like aerobics, eating the wrong foods and not maintaining a consistent training regime undermined her hard work. The challenge has fixed her faults, by having a clear start and end point with the ability to measure how she was doing along the way. During the 12-week Body-for-LIFE Challenge Anne went
from 9st 7lbs to 8st 3lbs and dropped her body fat from 25% to 16%
Anne found the first couple of weeks very testing but soon began to enjoy her workouts as her body adjusted to the demands of the programme. Part of the deal is to cut out sugar, alcohol and junk food; the discipline to eat every three hours not only stopped her usual ‘cravings’ but also gave her more energy.
Patience is also important to maintain a realistic outlook on how you and your body change. About the third of the way through Anne saw results, but not as big as she hoped and realised that it is a point where it can all go wrong. “This is when you really need faith that if you keep going you’ll get there and then the fat starts to drop off,” explained Anne. “Throughout, it was the rock of intent that got me through. I was going to complete it no matter what.”
Anne stuck to her strict fitness programme with the help of the EAS Myoplex diet pack and diet shakes and bars. What followed, was a complete turnaround in her attitude towards herself and her future. She now had the confidence and positive outlook to help her take back control of her life.
“I feel in control of my future,” enthuses Anne. “I can decide to do something and achieve it – I’ve proved that now. I can handle a lot more and feel I won’t get myself into situations I’ve been in before. I have more direction; I’m more positive.”
