While giving birth was one of Cheryl Rasumussen's great joys,
it also brought an additional 50 pounds that she couldn't lose.
Reminded by her sister about the Body-for-LIFE
book she had given her, Rasmussen quickly read it and knew it
was the key to reclaiming her body. Using "before" pictures
as motivation, she began her workouts at 5 a.m., before her
baby awoke, and noticed remarkable muscle and composition changes
by the third week. This, and her newfound energy, motivated
her even more to finish the challenge. In the end, she had
lost 23 pounds and 18 total inches, cut her body fat in half
to 17 percent and dropped 8 dress sizes. While she reclaimed
her body, she also realized how strong she was mentally and
