Lorraine Wilke
2005 Women's 18-30 Category Winner

By her own admission, 29-year old Lorraine Wilke - a recruitment advisor from Aberdeen - liked her nightly glass of wine and fattening savoury snacks. But unlike most people who feel that way, she made a commitment to herself to clean up her diet in her quest for a better body. "My size 10 jeans were getting tight and I thought 'I can't carry on like this," she says. "I had fallen into a bad habit of coming home after work and eating a bag of Doritos while waiting for my meal to cook, then drinking a large glass of wine.'

Lorraine weighed just 8 stones 12lbs when she started the Body for LIFE challenge but knew she wasn't toned and her diet was unhealthy. 'I was classed as a slim person but my lifestyle was beginning to show on my figure,' she recalls. Since completing the Body-for-LIFE Challenge, Lorraine has reduced her weight to a healthy 8 stones 6lbs. But the most significant change has been to her body fat level, which has gone down from 23% to an impressive 15%.

For motivation during the 12-week Challenge, Lorraine found a photograph of a pretty woman to whom she aspired. 'I did a random search on the Internet under 'bikini models' and found a woman whose figure I totally admired and put her picture up in the bathroom,' she says. 'I posted stickers around the house reminding me of my aims, saying things like 'you will have triceps', 'you will have some abdominals'. Every morning I would re-read my goals and I never missed a single training session.'

Lorraine found the range of EAS nutritional products useful for keeping her energy levels up. 'The Myoplex bars were really handy because you can't just eat chicken or other messy food during client meetings at work,' she laughs. 'The natural fat burning CLA supplements also had a dramatic effect on me. My energy levels have gone through the roof and when my nephew comes to stay on a Friday night I've got so much more energy for him.'
