Patricia Domic

2005 UK Overall Champion
2005 Women's Champion
2005 Women's 31-40 Category Winner

With three children aged 1, 7 and 9, Patricia Domic knew she had to get into an exercise routine she could stick with to shift the baby fat and tone her body.

Patricia says 'I've never really been overweight but I had my three children and with each one my body was starting to get saggy. I bought myself some weights and a bench and put them in the garage. Then followed the EAS Body-for-LIFE Challenge routine at home. While my baby had her mid-morning sleep at 10.30am I would do my weights in the garage. I set up the baby monitor in there and spent 45-50 minutes doing my weights. My cardio was basically doing aerobics videos and running around in the back yard.'

She soon noticed a difference. 'My body shape changed pretty quickly. I was surprised at how fast it was. I took photos at the start and then again every four weeks. When I saw my first four-week photo I couldn't believe the difference. My waist was different, my bum was lifted, my clothes were getting baggier and my energy levels were really good. When you have children you're usually dragging yourself out of bed!'

Patricia's efforts have paid off handsomely - in more ways than one. She has a fantastic fit, trim body but has also won £5,000 and a Porsche to drive for a year having been crowned the 2005 EAS Body-for-LIFE Champion. To help her feel energised for her workouts Patricia says 'I used Myoplex Original Shakes, Phosphagen HP and L-Glutamine. I'd drink lots of water too.',

Patricia's family were very supportive. 'I did try to work my eating in with my family,' she says. 'I didn't want to be making something for myself and something else for them so we all started having healthy stuff like porridge or muesli for breakfast and sandwiches with wholemeal bread at lunchtime. I would make my younger daughter a milkshake mid-afternoon and I'd have my Myoplex Shake at the same time.'

Since completing the Challenge, Patricia has reduced her body fat from 24 to 19%. 'I used to feel old and flabby as a mum,' she says. 'After doing the Challenge I now know you don't have to be that way just because you're a mum. You can be as young as you want to be.'
