What were your
reasons for deciding to accept
the Body-for-LIFE Challenge?
To
be honest, I cannot take credit for deciding to take the leap.
It was my 19 year old daughter who inspired me to “go
for it.” When she asked me to join her, I became motivated.
What inspired
you to stay on course throughout the 12-week Challenge?
At first
it was the determination to keep up with my daughter’s
enthusiasm; but after 3 weeks, I began to turn my attention
to myself. Why not both of us reach out for goals that we
thought were unattainable? As it turned out, our enthusiasm
fed off each other’s progress.
What obstacles
did you have to overcome – what adversity did you transform
into positive energy – in order to complete the 12-week
Challenge?
The
workouts, diet and stringent change of life were certainly
challenging; but the major challenge to me was dealing with
a devastating business setback. This put a terrible strain
on myself and the family; but I rearranged my workouts and
found that the new energy and personal goals allowed me to
put things in better perspective.
Please describe your physical improvements in terms of how
you measured them. A
friend recommended I keep a daily diary, weight myself each
morning and evening. This became so much fun that I couldn’t
wait each morning to see my improvements. I decided to have
my blood pressure checked, as it was on the high side (135/90),
after 9 weeks and losing 23 lbs, I was down to 116/65. I was
shocked! Today I have lost a total of 34 lbs and enjoy for
the first time being able to borrow my son’s clothes.
My waist went from 37” to 32”.
Which
EAS supplements did you use, and how much did they help you?
Would you recommend those supplements to others to help them
achieve the results you have?
BetaGen®,
Methoxy Factor™, and Myoplex® are all unique in themselves and
gave me the needed stimulus in the areas where I was the weakest.
Due to the strict diet I was on, I needed a protein supplement
that worked and tasted great. Also important was the assurance
that the protein would be optimally assimilated and my muscles
would hold the water and nutrition they demanded.
How was
your life transformed by improving your physical condition –
by deciding to accept the Challenge and sticking with it from
start to finish?
Transformed
is the right word when describing how I feel. As one gets
up in years, physical goals become increasingly harder to
attain. It takes much more effort to reach even small goals.
What my daughter and I have accomplished is reaching the levels
we did in such a short period of time will allow us to overcome
many challenges in the future.
